Senior Functional Architect

Function

Aligns the functional business needs from the client to the Content Services Platform by developing and co-ordinating the configuration of functional designs. Responsible for the facilitation guidance and subject matter expertise of the design workshops, needs to capture and document fully the Content Model, Workflows, User Interface, Data Architecture & Persistence, Ingestion / Migration, Audit & Compliance requirements.

Creates the wireframes for the user interface design, flowcharts for workflows and tables for the content models, organisational design etc. Works with the solution engineer to ensure that the models are correct and can be developed. Works with the Technical Architect to ensure that the models will work with any external application integrations planned. Contributes to the functional design element of the statement of work. .

Key responsibilities:

  • Help in developing and implementing the clients vision, and define their strategy within the Iron Mountain Platform

  • Translate customer needs to platform functionalities – know the user better than they know themselves

  • Coordinate with the engagement engineering team to plan and deliver the client configuration on time

  • Stay on top of the internal platform updates and new capabilities we can offer to clients

  • Act like an owner for the success of your clients

  • Create and Manage the Engagement Backlog and prioritize new requirements - making sure the backlog aligns with the clients overall goals and outcomes expected for the engagement.

  • Add value to the Team - actively participate in the evolution and growth of the team adapting to changing IRM Product offerings and capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in Product Management/Product Ownership

  • Functional Definition Expertise - proficiency in developing functional designs, process workflows, content models, taxonomy, and ontology.

  • Content Services Platform knowledge - Digital Asset Management (DAM), Enterprise Content Management (ECM), Records Management, Collections Management, ERP, Contract Management, etc

  • Strong experience in customer and client facing environments - Customer Interview Experience, Requirements Discovery, User Training, Workshop Facilitation, etc.

  • Able to communicate efficiently in a technical as well as business/user facing context and are experienced in acting as the link between PS Engineering teams and clients. basic understanding - such as Javascript, JSON, Python, XML, Rest API

  • Experience in Agile methodologies - Specifically Product Owner

  • Understanding of User Stories and experience in writing them.

  • Written and spoken communication in German or French and English.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to facilitate and lead through influence senior internal & external stakeholders

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.

  • Comfortable working in a fast paced working environment and with minimal supervision whilst able to work collaboratively as part of a team

  • Able to present confidently - training experience is a bonus
